5 Important lessons, We can learn from Lord Ganesha

According to Hindu mythology, Lord Ganesha is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Every religious festival begins with the worship of Lord Ganesha. People of all ages, religions, and castes from all over the world show their vehement devotion towards the Lord. He is the symbol of intellect, good luck, prosperity, and happiness. He represents the power of the sovereign being that takes away every obstacle and guarantees victory in human accomplishments. The portrayal of Ganesha is a human body with an elephant-headed, big belly, His mount, and a small mouse. According to the devotees, Ganesha's elephant head is the symbol of wisdom, His long ears signify the ability to separate the real from the unreal, His healthy belly symbolizes the whole universe and small eyes for concentration.

Lord Ganesha teaches us various important lessons of Life. Here are enlisted some important lessons-

1. Respect For Other Being- Lord Ganesha is God with a huge body, but he chose his ride (Vahana) a puny mouse. This signifies Lord doesn't discriminate with anyone,  even respects the most tiny creature. Why do we humans discriminate between human beings? We should treat every human being in the same and respectable manner in life. We all can work as a humble servant to uplift poor, care, share, and love to all and be treated equally.

2. Knowledge is the most powerful weapon- Lord Ganesha is known for his wisdom and his knowledge. Ganesha is always inquisitive to learn something, we should be ready for new changes. Change is always good but we need to look on the positive side. Learn to control our mind with intellect.

Life is full of hurdles. We can achieve success but need to be patient and optimistic.

3. One’s parents should be respected the most in the whole universe- No one is more important than one’s parents. We all know Lord Ganesha proves that the whole world belongs to their parents. He just wants to escalate the fact that taking care of their parents is the most important thing. Never hurt your parents. Nowadays youth misunderstands their parents and they forget that the credit of their existence belongs to the parents. We are living in this world just because of them. Before insulting and disrespecting your parents, think twice, even if you think they are wrong in some places. We should handle the situation in a positive manner.

4. Perform Duty with full passion - We know the story of Ganesha and why he has an elephant head. He is just performing his duty, that's why he stops his father from entering the cave where His mother is. When you are in the workplace give your hundred percent. The passion for work will head you towards success. Don't do your work without interest and dedication.

5. To be modest - Lord Ganesha has great knowledge but he is down to earth. He never shows off his knowledge. He was never proud of his knowledge. Don't show off too much, just show through your acts. The outcome will show how much you worth it.

From the God of wisdom, modesty, knowledge, and prosperity, it will always be less to learn as much as we can. Lord Ganesha is preached at the starting of every project, and each time when we wish to get our tasks done with no problems or intrusion from negative sources. And in the time of Ganeshotsav- the eleven days of the Bhadava month of the Hindu calendar, earthen idols or statues of the deity are worshipped in each house and home in India. People pray for the prosperous year and blessings for their whole family and society by forgiving their grievances and doing a good get together in a joyous and holy manner. When Indian celebrations, festivals, rituals, manuscripts, and the holy books teach us about harmony, peace, love, brotherhood, equality, and togetherness then why we humans are indulging ourselves in wrong deeds?

India has some of the world's most biodiversity Eco -zones - desert, high mountains, highlands, tropical forests, swampland , grasslands, areas surrounding. Majority of rational people here wants to earn big and for that they are ready to go to any extent and it’s not only their greed that is affecting environment but also their ignorance that is affecting it adversely. As a citizen of India, they should know that it is their Fun...
